THE LEX LAX GIRLS PROGRAM
The goal of the program at this level is to introduce the girls to
the basics of lacrosse so they can understand how the game is played and
learn the fundamentals. They do not need any prior experience, just
the desire to learn. The program will focus on skills development and
teamwork.
The program is open to all girls in the community. We rely on
fundraising, grants, and donations to meet our financial obligations for
uniforms, equipment, coaches, referees, and supplies. We can't make
this program work without parent involvement!
In 2021, LexLax fields three teams for girls - U9, U11 and U14. The age breakdowns are below.
Stick Saturdays will begin on February 6. Practices are typically Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons after school, as weather permits. For more information or if you have questions, please drop an email to rockbridgelax1@gmail.com or lexingtonlacrosse1@gmail.com.
Equipment needed to play: Girls regulation stick, mouth piece, eye cage. If you do not have your own equipment, we do have loaner equipment. You can read more about equipment here - https://www.uslacrosse.org/safety/equipment. All players may use loaner equipment provided by LexLax as needed.
